Referrals from Specialists last for 3 months.
Referrals from GPs last for 12 months, unless an “Indefinite” referral is provided, in which case the referral will, in theory, never expire.
Which hospitals do the surgeons operate at?
Prince of Wales Private Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Southern Highlands Private Hospital and St Vincent’s Private Hospital.
Why would I be referred to a Vascular surgeon?
Your GP may refer you to a vascular surgeon if you have a health problem that involves your blood vessels. Sometimes, it may be because a symptom you are experiencing could be a sign of a vascular problem or imaging you have had done requires a consultation with a vascular surgeon.
