What is Bypass Surgery?

Bypass Surgery is an open surgical procedure. We expose the blocked artery in the body and using a plastic tube or a piece of vein from your own body we create a bypass tube.

This tube is sewn on with very fine sutures to allow for blood to circumvent the blocked area and supply oxygenated blood to the remaining body.
